A few bugs on the Seqtrak - Changing filter type affects all elements; Adjusting single track volume and sends visually changes all tracks in mixer.

Firstly just wanted to congratulate you on this software.
its incredible and unlocks an entire world completely hidden inside my humble Seqtrak!
Really amazing work, the app works very well and is easy to navigate and use.

I have encountered a few bugs however, which are not show stoppers but will hopefully be of some help to highlight them, in case you weren't already aware.

Changing filter type affects all elements:

When editing an part, with multiple elements, when changing any of the element's filter type, it updates the label on all of the element filters, to the chosen type.
At first I though this meant you can only have a single filter type for all the elements, but its clear when listening that the filters are actually different.
I did however notice that changing for example element 2 does sometimes reset element 1 to the same filter (audibly as well as visually) but then changing element 1 filter type again, back to whatever it was fixes this and does not change the type of element 2 (even though visually the label does change) hope that makes sense. I can work around the bug like this but its confusing as the labels are then wrong..

Adjusting single track volume and sends visually changes all tracks in the mixer:

This seems to be a bug, but i'm not sure!
In the Project tracks mixer, if i change the dry level or Rev or Delay send levels of any of the 12 tracks, then they all update, its as if they are liked together. however, if you change the selected part, they all change to represent the correct value of that part! The controls in the amplitude section have the same effect.
Mute, pan and volume sliders work as expected. As do the A/D Input and USB Dry and send levels.

Insert FX Presets

I did also encounter some other issues with some of the effects - the preset names don't line up with the labels.
If for example, you change the Master Effect using the FX encoder on the hardware device, KDX does update the effect label in the UI, but its wrong.
For example, the first effect preset in Control Filter is LPF no resonance, but what gets selected in the UI is HPF no resonance, and as you continue to change presets, you get some with blank labels (when you get to the 5th preset).
Anyway, no big deal, this can be controlled from the App.

Hope this helps and thanks for the software.

Thanks for the detailed report - I suspect that these are changes made in the new firmware for which KDx has not accounted. I’ll look into it and get back to you!

Quick updates as I test the system:

Adjusting track volume
This appears to be limited to the drum-type tracks (1-7). I can independently adjust Synth 1, Synth 2, DX and Sampler. I will look into why this happens

Changing filter type
Confirmed - and I can see why. Fix incoming in a few minutes.

Update - fixed now

This is confusing me - i'll need to double check the stored data here. Again, I'll get back to you!

Just double checking this - you labelled your text 'Insert FX' but then went on to talk about Master FX - could you just confirm which I should be investigating?

@filtah I've been experimenting with the track volume for tracks 1-7, and as far as I can see, it is actually working as designed. Adjusting the volume of track 1 to 100% causes the app to jump to track 1, and the volume knob updates accordingly.

If i now set track 2 to 0% using KDx, the app shows that happening.

Using the app, I now switch back to track 1, and the volume remains set at 100%, as expected.

Is this not the behaviour you have observed?

Hi Kier. Actually it affects bothe the insert effect 2 (Single) as well as the Master effect.
Easiest way to test - when the Seqtrak is connected, engage the Master switch and have a look at the Master Effects in kdx, while turning the 'FX' encoder on the device.
Rotate all the way so the it's at the start of the list (First LED lit). This should correspond with Control Filter | LPF - No Resonance, but the display shows Control Filter | HPF - No Resonance.
If you switch the FX to position 'Single', and repeat, while looking at the Insert A , the behaviour is exactly the same.

Not sure I really understand, think we may be talking about different things here.
The track volumes do work correctly in my experience.
Im referring to the track Dry levels, as well as the Rev. Send and Delay Send knobs in the 'Project Tracks' section of KDX.
It doesn't matter which track is selected, if you change any of these knobs, they all seem to respond in unison.
so for example, I have Track 1 selected, and I turn the knob for the dry level of Track 1 in the project tracks section, then all the knobs in the dry level row change. If I then change a different knob - eg Track 5 Dry level, then all the dry level knobs change to this value!

Changing tracks in the top left area also causes the knobs to change in unison in the same way.

Seems to affect all Dry levels, Reverb and Delay sends EXCEPT for A/D Input and USB Input.

Hope thats clear, if it does not make sense ill send some screenshots :)

I just found the problem you were describing here, and it's now fixed 👍🏻

I still haven't been able to reproduce this - is it possible you had element link enabled when you experienced this behaviour, as that would absolutely do what you are describing?
