Today's SEQTRAK update to firmware 2.0 is huge.
When I learned about the upcoming changes, I was blown away by the power being unleashed by Yamaha.
While SEQTRAK was already a hidden gem, with two AWM2 parts whose full capabilities could be exploited by KDx, the new firmware allows all the drum tracks to be set as Synth types - so that diminutive little box now has nine full-fledged AWM2 parts, giving it a large proportion of the features previously reserved for MONTAGE and MODX!
Naturally, KDx is ready to support these new tracks, and I have rolled out preliminary support today.
KDx now allows you to edit all nine of the AWM2 tracks (as well as the FM/DX track) when they are set to Synth mode.
Next week, I will put out a further update to polish the experience somewhat, allowing you to change the track type within KDx rather than having to make the change with the SEQTRAK app or hardware.
