Move a Live Set Performance from one slot to replace another?

Hi again Kier,

This question pertains to the Live Set Editor.

If I want to replace a Performance residing in a particular slot with another Performance, there seems to be no easy way to do it. To be clear, I mean replace the existing Performance by deleting it and not shifting everything over to accommodate the new Performance.

I've only been able to do this by highlighting (selecting) the Performance that I want to replace and then typing in the name of another existing Performance that is to take its place.

In other words, there seems to be no equivalent of the Montage's Delete function (accessed via Edit -> Job -> Delete). Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Dennis B.

There's a couple of questions here, so I'll address each.

To delete a slot, just highlight it, then click the SLOT ACTIVE button to deactivate the slot. This is essentially the same as Job > Delete on the synth.

To select a different performance for a slot, you can either select the slot then type its name, as you have been doing, or you can select it and then use the CATEGORY SEARCH button to search through all the preset performances, and any user/library performances you have synced to KDx.

Thanks for the quick reply!

One more followup question: When I "delete" a Performance by clicking on Slot Active, and then immediately click Slot Active again it places the CFX + FM EP Performance in that slot. It does that every time. Why that particular Performance?

CFX + FM EP is the first preset performance on Montage / MODX - when you activate a slot, the system has to allocate a performance, so it just chooses performance 1.
